Lee Scargall is a senior risk executive with wide-ranging experience of working with comms providers around the world. He currently manages risk on behalf of Batelco, Bahrain’s leading operator, having previously been employed by Ooredoo Group, Cable & Wireless and T-Mobile UK. His list of consulting clients is even more extensive.

Lee has spent many years living in the Middle East, and has worked as a manager and consultant to various comms providers in that region. He was formerly the Director of Risk Management at Ooredoo Group, where he reported to the Group CEO about the wide variety of risks faced by their operations in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. Prior to joining Ooredoo, Lee was a Director at Cable & Wireless International, where he oversaw risk management and revenue assurance for their subsidiaries in the Caribbean, Central America and Asia. As a consequence, Lee has unparalleled awareness of risk profiles and cultures around the world, especially in developing countries.

The versatility needed by a modern risk professional is exemplified by Lee’s CV, which shows he is equally comfortable talking to boards about business strategy and to technologists about how systems work. Lee is a member of the Advisory Board of the Risk & Assurance Group, helping them to deliver an agenda that highlights the progress being made in fields such as cyber security and enterprise risk management. His academic résumé includes a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
